INTERESTING / IMPORTANT VEHICLE HISTORY AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS:

Perhaps the most recognizable Ferrari model of all time! The 308. This Berlinetta version is the much sought after closed roof coupe version and the last year of the revered Carbed V8! The most power of the whole 308 line and the best sounding. This car has had a repaint many years ago and the paint is in nice shape. Slight panel discoloration on front passenger fender to a trained eye. The 1979 is the last of the carbed cars before Ferrari had to add a Power constricting Fuel Injected system to the 308 gtbi. Far less power. These are the most powerful version of the 308, having more even the the Fuel injected 308 Quattrovalvole. U.S Title out of Oregon. Badged “Reconstructed” due to a blown engine where by insurance wrote vehicle off due to the clause in the owners insurance that enable a payout to the owner for the mechanical failure. This was not due to a collision or accident history. The original engine has been completely rebuilt. The car has a clean Alberta Registration. In 2004 a U.S enthusiast bought this car after the insurance claim with 25089 miles on it. The mechanical and cosmetic restoration began. All of this procedure is documented in a hand written journal. The car was imported to Canada in 2009 and entered into a substantial collection in Alberta and driven sparingly. The car had a major service on it in May 0f 2021 including Timing belt and new tires. Has only been driven about 800 miles or so since. Car runs very well. The clock even works! The windows are slow as per all of these cars then. Choke works. It may have a need for a new alternator as the car runs lovely but when lights are on it seems to bog a little.  After lengthy periods without starting the carbs need to be choked to assist in starting and it starts great then, and easily after regular starts.   Has done a Fall trip of over 600 km without a miss.  Just FYI.
